Nikon D3000

The newer lens and better lighting have proven valuable for night shots.
My Camera Choice
The Nikon D3000: Why It's Worth It
Nikon Corporation is one of my favorite companies. Not just because it is one of the top in the world when it comes to it's cameras but because the company listens to it's consumers. The photographers like me who want the best camera.
Recently, Nikon was honored by iF Product Design Award 2011 sponsored by International Forum Design GmbH of Hanover Germany for none other than my favorite camera - the ‘Nikon D3100 digital SLR camera!
That is one of the big points to start with. If you want reliability and performance that is what Nikon packs into this camera. It's why I use it exclusively, especially for night shots (hence the website name).
Since Nikon has had numerous awards this year is it any wonder they only hire the best engineers? A trite comment I know, but it is true. Hiring the best is the only way that Nikon can satisfy the great desire of photographers for excellence and high-tech, highly professiional photography.
Nikon classifies it's cameras and puts them into 3 divisions if you will. They are Nikon Coolpix Performance-series, Nikon Coolpix Lifestyle-series and Nikon Coolpix S-series.
As you can guess, all three divisions come with different technical functionality. You will find cool attributes like Vibration Reduction, Nikon D technology, D-Movie, Nikon Speedlights, Picture Control, CaptureNX2, GP-1 GPS Unit and more.
Currently the Nikon Coolpix category is the best selling array offered by Nikon.

Look at the resolution and how clear this house pic is with the Nikon D3000.
Thankfully, despite the technological advancements with their cameras, Nikon has done a nice job in keeping their prices affordable.
The Nikon Digital SLR cameras are especially designed for the professional photographers and people those are serious for the quality photography.Nikon D3000 is one of the entry-level DSLR cameras, which is the decent substitute of the popular Nikon D40.
There are some neat features I would like to talk about. They are Nikon's 10MP DX-format CCD image sensor, Nikon's Dust Reduction & Picture Control Systems, eleven point Multi-CAM 1000 auto focus module and various other functional attributes.
Nikon D3000 has greater value even in terms of performance, picture quality and ease of usage. It's also considered by many to be a great entry-level camera. Even as a professional I use the D3000 for almost every picture project I work on. Even with the picture to the right you can see the resolution and quality is unmatched.
Hope this has helped. Cheers.
